Abstract:Objective To compare the efficacy and safety of Itraconazole and Griseofulvin in the treatment of tinea capitis in children. Methods From January 2020 to January 2022,a total of 70 children with tinea capitis who were admitted to Jiujiang Third People's Hospital and Affiliated Hospital of Jiujiang University were selected as the research objects and divided into group A (35 cases, treated with Itraconazole) and group B (35 cases, treated with Griseofulvin)by random number table method. The clinical efficacy and fungal clearance rate of the two groups at the 4th,6th and 8th weeks of treatment were compared. The serum cystatin C (Cys-C),the improvement time of tinea capitis symptoms, retinol binding protein (RBP),adverse reactions and β2 microglobulin(β2-MG) level of the two groups were compared. Results After treatment, the levels of RBP and Cys-C in group A were lower than those in group B,and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).There was no significant difference in β2-MG level between the two groups after treatment (P>0.05).The improvement time of erythema, alopecia, yellow scab and pustule in group A were shorter than that in group B,and the total incidence of adverse reactions in group A was lower than that in group B,and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).There were no significant differences in the fungal clearance rate and the total effective rate of clinical efficacy at the 4th,6th and 8th weeks of treatment between the two groups (P>0.05).Conclusion The clinical efficacy of Itraconazole in the treatment of tinea capitis in children is consistent with Griseofulvin, but Itraconazole can effectively shorten the time for the improvement of clinical symptoms in children with lichen capitis and has higher drug safety.
