Abstract: Objective To investigate the application value of abdominal ultrasound with rectal water sac in infantile pelvic examination. Methods The data of 50 female infants who underwent ultrasound examination in Pingxiang Maternal and Child Health Hospital from May 2018 to November 2019 were retrospectively analyzed. All children underwent conventional abdominal ultrasound examination and abdominal ultrasound examination with rectal water sac.The results of follow-up and serological examination assisted diagnosis were taken as the gold standard, the detection condition of two inspection methods was compared. Results The images of the ovaries and uterus during routine abdominal ultrasound examination were not clear enough, the transabdominal ultrasound with rectal water sac examination could more clearly show the structure of the uterus and ovaries of children. The display rate of abdominal ultrasound with rectal water sac in the diagnosis of uterus, ovaries and abdominal intestines was 92.00% (46/50),which was higher than the 62.00% (31/50) of conventional abdominal ultrasound, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The total coincidence rate of abdominal ultrasound with rectal water sac (90.00%) was higher than that of conventional abdominal ultrasound (28.00%),and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion Compared with conventional abdominal ultrasound, abdominal ultrasound with rectal water sac can clearly show the uterine and ovarian structure, improve the accuracy of infantile pelvic examination, provide new options for the diagnosis of pelvic diseases in infants and young children, which provides guidance for the choice of clinical treatment plans.
