Abstract:Objective To explore the new online and offline mixed teaching mode based on "flipped classroom", comprehensively evaluate the application value of this teaching mode in pharmacology teaching, and provide reference for further promoting the pharmacology teaching reform suitable for universities in the future. Methods A total of 130 students from two classes of clinical medicine major of grade 2018, Guangdong Medical University from March to July 2020 were selected as the research objects and divided into experimental group (n=64) and control group (n=66) by class grouping. The experimental group was taught by the new mode of online and offline integrated flipped classroom, while the control group was taught by traditional teaching mode. The evaluation of teaching effect of two groups was collected and the test score of the two groups were compared. Results The students in the experimental group had higher evaluation of teaching effect than control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The average score of offline tests in the experimental group was higher than that of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). However, there was no significant difference in the average score of online tests between the two groups (P>0.05). Conclusion The new teaching mode can improve the teaching effect, and is helpful to the cultivation of learning interest, knowledge mastery and ability. It is worthy of being widely applied and promoted in pharmacology teaching.
