Abstract:Objectives To explore the therapeutic effect and guiding significance of the theory of "Tong Du Qiang Ji"on lumbar disc herniation (LDH) with deficiency of liver and kidney by clicking on the Du meridian method combined with Bushen Zhuangjin Decoction, and to provide ideas for clinical work. Methods Sixty patients with lumbar disc herniation with liver and kidney deficiency admitted to the Third People′s Hospital Affiliated to Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January to December 2021 were selected as the research subjects, and they were divided into experimental group and control group according to random number table method, with 30 cases in each group. The experimental group was treated by clicking on the Du meridian method combined with Bushen Zhuangjin Decoction, and the control group was treated with oral Bushen Zhuangjin Decoction. The pain rating index (PRI), visual analogue scale (VAS), lumbar range of motion, straight leg elevation angle before and after treatment and the treatment effect were compared between the two groups. Results There were no significant differences in PRI score, VAS score, lumbar range of motion and straight leg elevation angle between the two groups before treatment (P>0.05). The PRI score and VAS score of the two groups after treatment were lower than those before treatment, the lumbar range of motion and straight leg elevation angle were higher than those before treatment, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). After treatment, the PRI score and VAS score of the experimental group were lower than those of the control group, the lumbar range of motion and straight leg elevation angle of the experimental group were higher than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The total effective rate of the experimental group after treatment was 83.3%, which was higher than 56.7% of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion Under the guidance of the theory of "Tong Du Qiang Ji", the click on the Du meridian method combined with Bushen Zhuangjin Decoction for the treatment of LDH can significantly relieve the symptoms and pain of patients with waist and leg pain, promote the recovery of waist function, and improve the quality of life and work of patients, which shows the important guiding significance for clinical work.
