Clinical effect of heat-sensitive moxibustion combined with acupoint application in the treatment of anorexia of Spleen and Stomach Qi Deficiency type in children

Abstract:Objective To observe the clinical effect of heat-sensitive moxibustion combined with Acupoint application in the treatment of anorexia of Spleen and Stomach Qi Deficiency in children. Methods A total of 60 cases Children with anorexia of Spleen and Stomach Qi Deficiency type treated in the Pediatric Clinic and Inpatient of Weihai Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from August 2019 to January 2021 were selected as the research objects. They were randomly divided into the treatment group (30 cases) and the control group (30 cases) according to the random number table method. The treatment group was treated with heat-sensitive moxibustion combined with acupoint application,while the control group was treated with acupoint application. Both groups were treated for 4 weeks. The therapeutic effects, the improvement of main and secondary symptoms of traditional Chinese medicine of the two groups were compared, and the total score of traditional Chinese medicine syndrome, the levels of hemoglobin and Zinc before and after treatment were recorded. Results After treatment, the total effective rate of the treatment group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The effective rate of of poor appetite and reduced appetite in the main symptoms of the treatment group were higher than that of the control group, and, the effective rate of the treatment of sallow complexion, irregular stool, mental fatigue and sweating among the secondary symptoms of the treatment group were higher than that of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05). The levels of hemoglobin and Zinc in the treatment group were significantly higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion Heat-sensitive moxibustion combined with acupoint application can significantly improve the symptoms and signs of anorexia of spleen stomach qi deficiency type in children, enhance appetite and immunity. It has definite clinical curative effect and has a wide application prospect.
