Effect of Zhizhu Liujunzi Decotion in the treatment of lung cancer patients with Qi-deficiency syndrome during chemotherapy and its influence on the tongue coating thickness and the gastrointestinal reaction

Objective To explore the clinical effect of Zhizhu Liujunzi Decotion in the treatment of lung cancer patients with Qi -deficiency syndrome during chemotherapy, and the influence on tongue coating thickness and the gastrointestinal reaction. Methods A total of 90 patients with lung cancer and Qi-deficiency syndrome treated with chemothrapy in Dazhou Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine from October 2019 to October 2020 were selected as the reseach objects, and they were divided into the treatment group (45 cases) and the control group (45 cases) according to random number table method.The control group was treated with normally antiemetic and stomach protector, and the treatment group was treated with Zhizhu Liujunzi Decotion on the basis of the treatment of the control group.The tongue coating thickness scores were compared between the two groups before and after treatment.The occurrence of gastrointestinal reactions was compared between the two groups.The quality of life of two groups before and after treatment was evaluated by cancer treatment function evaluation system-lung cancer (FACT-L).Results The scores of tongue colding thickness after treatment were higher than those before treatment both in two groups, with stastistically significant differences (P＜0.05).The scores of tongue colding thickness after treatment in the treatment group was lower than that in the control group, and the difference was stastistically significant (P＜0.05).The incidence rates of dysorexia, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and astriction in treatment group were lower than those in control group, with stastistically significant differences (P ＜0.05).The score of the FACT-L after treatment in the treatment group was higher than that in the control group, with stastistically significant difference (P＜0.05). Conclusion Zhizhu Liujunzi Decotion may influence the tihckness of tongue coating of lung cancer patients with Qi-deficiency syndrome treated with chemotherapy, which may reduce the occurrence of gastrointestinal reactions in these patients, and further study is worthy.
