Objective To investigate the effect of systemic medication combined with retroauricular injection of Methylprednisolone Sodium Succinate in the treatment of full-frequency descending sudden hearing loss. Methods The clinical data of 106 patients with full-frequency descending sudden hearing loss admitted to Huai'an First People's Hospital Branch from January 2020 to September 2021 were retrospectively analyzed, they were divided into the combined group (55 cases) and conventional group (51 cases) according to different treatment methods.The combined group was treated with systemic medication combined with Methylprednisolone Sodium Succinate for retroauricular injection, and the conventional group was treated with systemic hormone alone.The therapeutic effects and the results of the speech recognition rate test, the pure tone audiometry test results and the incidence of adverse reactions during medication before and after treatment between the two groups were compared. Results There was no significant difference in the total effective rate between the two groups (P＞0.05).After treatment, the speech recognition rate in the combined group was higher than that in the conventional group, and the pure tone hearing threshold was lower than that in the conventional group, and the differences were statistically significant (P＜0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups (P=0.931). Conclusion Compared with conventional systemic medication,systemic medication combined with retroauricular injection of Methylprednisolone Sodium Succinate can improve the speech recognition rate and pure tone hearing threshold of full-frequency descending sudden hearing loss patients,which is safe and reliable.
