Abstract:Objective Shear wave elasticity imaging (SWE) was used to investigate the image of tendon nodules in lumbar disc herniation (LDH) patients, investigate the application value of this technology on tendon nodules. Methods Patients admitted to the the clinic of Department of Acupuncture of Chongqing Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from November 2020 to June 2021 were selected as research objects. The position, image and Young′s modulus of the tendon nodules were recorded and measured by the SWE.Results Thirty tendon nodules were included, the average Young′s modulus was 25.47 (17.45,37.10) kPa.According to the distribution parts, they were divided into waist and sacroiliac part, according to different anatomical levels, they were divided into superficial fascia and deep fascia. From the SWE images,we can see that the tendon nodules were mainly exhibite disorderfibrous tissue, with high or low echo and disregular nodules. The average Young′s modulus was higher than that of normal tissue and fat necrosis. The image of the deep nodules is fuzzy, which may affect accuracy of the Young′s modulus. Conclusion The SWE is more visually and accurate, and the hardness of the tissue can be determined by the elastic modulus value of the tissue,so as to clarify the tendon knot, which can be used as an important evaluation method for the diagnosis and treatment of tendon knot. However, the tendon knot image of deep tissue is not clear,so this technology has certain limitations.
