Abstract:Objective To compare the clinical effect of neuroendoscopic and microscopic resection of pituitary tumor. Methods A total of 136 patients with pituitary tumor admitted to the First Hospital of Nanping from February 2016 to June 2021 were selected as the research subjects. They were divided into the neuroendoscopy group and the microscope group according to random number table method, with 68 cases in each group. The neuroendoscopy group was operated by neuroendoscopy, and the microscope group was operated by microscope. The indicators of operation (operation time, intraoperative bleeding, postoperative hospital stay),changes of postoperative blood hormone levels and whether the tumor was completely removed were compared between the two groups. Results There was no significant difference in intraoperative bleeding between the two groups (P>0.05).The postoperative hospital stay in neuroendoscopy group was shorter than that in microscope group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).There was no significant difference in operation time between the two groups (P>0.05).The hormone recovery rate of ≥50% in the neuroendoscope group was higher than that in the microscope group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The complete tumor resection rate in the neuroendoscopy group was higher than that in the microscope group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion Neuroendoscopic excision of pituitary tumor has better effect on hormone rehabilitation than microscopical operation.
