Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical effect of endovascular treatment for intracranial arterial stenosis. Methods The clinical data of 90 patients with intracranial artery stenosis admitted to Xinyu People′s Hospital from January 2018 to June 2020 were retrospectively analyzed.According to different treatment methods, they were divided into stent implantation group (n=49) and drug treatment group (n=41).The drug treatment group received Aspirin Enteric-Coated Tablets and Clopidogrel orally, and the stent implantation group received intracranial vascular stent implantation on the basis of the drug treatment group.National Institutes of Health stroke scale (NIHSS) score, total incidence of complications and recurrence rate were compared between the two groups. Results The NIHSS score after treatment in the stent implantation group ([8.14±0.98] points) was lower than that in the drug treatment group ([15.46±2.20] points),and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The total incidence of complications in the stent implantation group (4.08%) was lower than that in the drug treatment group (21.95%),the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The recurrence rate of patients in the stenting group (4.08%) was lower than that in the drug treatment group (26.83%),and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion Compared with oral drug therapy, intracranial vascular stent implantation in the treatment of intracranial artery stenosis can achieve better clinical effect, can effectively reduce the neurological impairment, and has fewer complications, lower recurrence rate, and high efficacy, which is worthy of promotion and application.
