Abstract:Objective To explore the diagnostic effect and application value of color ultrasound and X-ray mammography in breast cancer screening. Methods The clinical data of 183 female patients with suspected breast cancer admitted to our hospital from August 2017 to August 2019 were analyzed retrospectively. According to different inspection methods, the observation objects were divided into three groups. A total of 60 patients were diagnosed by color ultrasound, 55 patients were diagnosed by mammography, and 68 patients were diagnosed by color ultrasound combined with mammography. All patients underwent pathological examination in our hospital, and pathological examination was taken as the gold standard for diagnosis. The sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, negative predictive value and accuracy of the results of color ultrasound, mammography and combined diagnosis were compared. Results The diagnostic sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, negative predictive value and accuracy of color ultrasound were 81.25%, 75.00%, 92.86%, 50.00% and 80.00%, respectively. The diagnostic sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, negative predictive value and accuracy of mammography were 79.07%, 66.67%, 89.47%, 47.06% and 76.36%, respectively. The combined diagnostic sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, negative predictive value and accuracy of the subjects of combined diagnosis were 98.33%, 87.50%, 98.33%, 85.70% and 97.05%, respectively. There were no significant differences of the sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, negative predictive value and accuracy between color ultrasound and mammography (P>0.05). The sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, negative predictive value and accuracy of color ultrasound combined with mammography were higher than those of color ultrasound and mammography alone, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion The results of color ultrasound and mammography in breast cancer screening are similar. The sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of color ultrasound combined with mammography are significantly higher than those of color ultrasound and mammography alone. The results of color ultrasound and mammography have good consistency with pathological results, and have higher application value.
