Efect of blood transfusion quality control system on clinical blood transfusion quality

Abstract:Objective To explore the influence of blood transfusion quality control system on clinical blood transfusion quality.Methods A total of 210 patients with blood transfusion admitted to Foshan City Center Blood Station from February 2017 to February 2018 were selected as the research subjects.They were divided into control group (n=105)and observation group (n=105) according to the random number table method.The control group received routine blood transfusion,the observation group was managed by blood transfusion quality control system.Blood transfusion quality indicators (transfusion index compliance rate,accuracy of application form filling,complete rate of pre-transfusion check,complete rate of transfusion records),component blood volume (red blood cells,plasma,platelets) in transfusion,and failure rate of signing of application form ( forgot to fill in blood type,forget to fill in blood routine,forget to fill in scheduled blood transfusion time,forget to sign the physician,forget to sign the senior physician,fill incomplete consent rate of blood transfusion consent,fill in failure rate of blood transfusion consent) between two groups were compared.Results The compliance rate of the blood transfusion index in the observation group was 93.33%,the accuracy of filling in the application form was 85.71%,the complete rate of the pre-transfusion check was 95.24%,and the complete rate of the blood transfusion record was 96.19%,which were higher than those of the control group of 66.67%,65.71%,76.19%,75.24%,the differences showed statistical significance (P<0.05).The amount of red blood cells and plasma in the observation group was less than that in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The platelet treatment volume in the observation group was 1245±0.10,higher than that in the control group(820±0.05),and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The unqualified rate in the observation group after signing the application form was 7.62%,which was lower than the control group of 18.09%,the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion Applying the quality control system to the blood transfusion process in clinic can improve its quality and is worth applying.
