Abstract:Objective To investigate the distribution of pregnancy diseases and pregnancy outcomes in pregnant women with different ages. Methods The clinical data of 11 358 pregnant women who delivered in our hospital from January to December 2019 were retrospectively analyzed. According to age, they were divided into the elderly group (≥35 years old) and the non-elderly group (<35 years old), and the differences between the two groups in pregnancy diseases and pregnancy outcomes were compared. Results ①The rates of gestational diabetes, hypertensive disorders of pregnancy, anemia, scar uterus, oligohydramnios, hypothyroidism of the elderly group were higher than those of non-elderly group, with statistical differences (P<0.05). The rates of premature rupture of membranes, fetal distress of the elderly group were lower than those of non-elderly group, with statistical differences (P<0.05). There were no statistically significant differences between two groups in the rates among polyhydyamnios, intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy (ICP), placental abruption, placenta previa, obesity, hyperthyroidism (P>0.05). ②The rates of postpartum hemorrhage, cesarean section and preterm delivery in the elderly group were higher than those in the non-elderly group, with statistical differences (P<0.05). There were no statistically significant differences in the rates among macrosomia, small-for-gestational-age and asphyxia neonatorum (P>0.05). Conclusion The complications of the elderly pregnant women during pregnancy are increased, the rate of cesarean section is high, pregnancy outcomes is poor, perinatal care should be strengthened in clinic.
