Abstract:Objective To explore the therapeutic effect of lower uterine segment clamp combined with drug therapy in the treatment of postpartum hemorrhage. Methods A total of 80 patients with postpartum hemorrhage admitted to our hospital from January 2018 to December 2019 were selected as research subjects and divided into the control group (n=40) and the observation group (n=40) by the random number table method. The control group was treated with drug therapy alone, while the observation group was treated with lower uterine segment clamp combined with drug therapy. The blood loss at 1, 2 and 24 h after delivery, the therapeutic effect, the hemostasis effect time, stay-in-hospital time, hemoglobin levels and blood transfusion status were compared between the two groups. Results The blood loss of the observation group at 1, 2 and 24 h after delivery was lower than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The total effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The hemostasis effect time and the stay-in-hospital time of the observation group were shorter than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). After treatment, the hemoglobin level of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05); while the hemoglobin level of the control group after treatment was lower than that before treatment, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in the hemoglobin level of the observation group between before and after treatment (P<0.05). No blood transfusion was required in the observation group, while 4 cases occurred in the control group. The incidence of blood transfusion in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, with statistical difference (P<0.05). Conclusion Lower uterine segment clamp combined with drug therapy is effective in the treatment of postpartum hemorrhage, which can shorten the hemostasis time and hospital stay time. It can also reduce postpartum hemorrhage, the influence on hemoglobin level, and the amount of blood transfusion. Therefore, it has high application value.
