Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of motivational interviewing on illness perception and self-perceived burden in acute myocardial infarction (AMI) patients with percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI).Methods A total of 80 AMI patients with PCI who were admitted to our hospital from January 2019 to February 2020 were divided into the control group and the experimental group according to random number table method, with 40 cases in each group. The control group was given routine nursing, and the experimental group was given motivational interviewing. The illness perception,self-perceived burden and self-management ability before and after intervention were compared between the two groups. Results After intervention, the scores of illness perception and self-management ability of the two groups were higher than those before intervention, the scores of self-perceived burden of the two groups were lower than those before intervention, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).After intervention, the scores of illness perception and self-management ability of the experimental group were higher than those of the control group, the score of self-perceived burden of the experimental group was lower than that of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion Motivational interviewing intervention in AMI patients with PCI can improve the illness perception, increase the self-management ability, decrease the self-perceived burden and improve the prognosis and recovery.
