Abstract:Objective To explore the clinical diagnosis significance of combined detection of serum β-human chorionic gonadotrophin (β-HCG) and progesterone in early threatened abortion. Methods A total of 120 pregnant women with threatened abortion in our hospital from December 2017 to December 2019 were selected as the observation group, and they were further divided into the continuing pregnancy group (68 cases) and the pregnancy failure group (52 cases) according to clinical outcome.A total of 120 normal pregnant women in the same period were selected as the control group.Serum β-HCG and progesterone levels in all pregnant women were detected and the diagnostic efficacy of serum β-HCG and progesterone in early threatened abortion were analyzed. Results The serum β-HCG and progesterone levels of the pregnant women in the continuing pregnancy group and the pregnancy failure group were lower than those in the control group(both P<0.01).The levels of β-HCG and progesterone in the continued pregnancy group were higher than those in the pregnancy failure group (both P<0.01).Spearman correlation analysis showed that the serum β-HCG and progesterone levels were negatively correlated with early threatened abortion (rsβ-HCG=-0.846,rsprogesterone=-0.694).The area under the ROC curve corresponding to β-HCG was 0.896,the area under the ROC curve corresponding to progesterone was 0.748,and the area under the ROC curve corresponding to β-HCG + progesterone diagnosis was 0.948.Conclusion Serum β-HCG and progesterone levels change significantly in pregnant women with threatened abortion. The combined detection of serum β-HCG and progesterone is of great value in the diagnosis of early threatened abortion.
