Correlation analysis of traditional Chinese medicine constitution,five evolutive phases and six climatic factors with recurrent respiratory tract infection children

Abstract：Objective To explore the correlation between children′s recurrent respiratory tract infection and the constitution of traditional Chinese medicine,five evolutive phases and six climatic factors.Methods From January 2016 to December 2017,a total of 200 children with recurrent respiratory tract infection admitted to Beihai Hospital of Chinese Medicine were selected as the treatment group,and a total of 200 healthy children who had physical examination in our hospital at the same time were selected as the control group.The birth time of all the cases were converted into the year of trunk and branch,and on this basis,they were summarized and sorted out according to the corresponding period of "five movements" and "six factors in nature".The correlation between the two groups′ constitution of traditional Chinese medicine,five movements and six factors in nature was compared and made clear.Results The proportions of phlegm-dampness and qi-deficiency,Jinyun and Huoyun,Yangming Zaojin and Jueyin Fengmu in the treatment group were higher than those in the control group,the differences were statistically significant (P＜0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the diet of the groups (P＞0.05).The results of multivariate Logistic regression analysis indicated that Jueyin Fengmu (β=0.035,OR=1.054,95%CI=0.965-1.147),Jinyun (β=0.023,OR=1.120,95%CI=0.783-1.235),phlegm dampness constitution (β=0.995,OR=4.634,95%CI=3.413-5.263),Qi deficiency constitution (β=0.019,OR=1.197,95%CI=0.567-2.998) were the risk factors of recurrent respiratory infection in children (P＜0.05).Conclusion The incidence of children with recurrent respiratory tract infection is correlative with the factors including Jueyin Fengmu,Jinyun,phlegm dampness and qi deficiency constitution.
