Research on Chinese and western medicine diagnosis and syndrome facters of gastroe-sophageal reflux disease in Fuzhou university town

Abstract:Objective To explore the symptoms and characteristics of gastroe-sophageal reflux disease in the university town of Fuzhou, the types of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and the characteristics of TCM syndromes, so as to provide references for clinical diagnosis and treatment. Methods A total of 120 gastroe-sophageal reflux disease patients admitted to our hospital from January to December of 2019 were selected as the research objects. The patient′s symptoms, gastroesophageal reflux disease questionnaire (GerdQ) points, TCM syndrome types, and TCM syndrome elements were analyzed and studied. Results The average score of GerdQ was (10.48±1.22) points; acid reflux, heartburn, epigastric pain, abdominal distension, belching, and retrosternal pain were the main symptoms, and restless night sleep, nausea, constipation, throat discomfort, dry mouth, bitter mouth, etc. were the main accompanying symptoms; stagnation of heat in the liver and stomach, damp-heat of spleen deficiency, and deficiency of Qi and Ni were the main TCM syndrome types; liver, spleen, stomach and gallbladder were the main diseases of this disease; dampness, heat, qi stagnation, food accumulation, qi deficiency and phlegm were the main diseases. Conclusion The patients with GRED in Fuzhou university town are mainly mild and have complicated clinical manifestations. TCM syndrome differentiation and treatment should take liver, spleen, stomach and gallbladder as the disease location, and pay attention to the pathological characteristics of multiple dampness and heat, stagnation of qi, deficiency of qi, and food accumulation.
