Abstract:Objective To analyze the effect of internal limiting membrane packing and flip coverage treating refractory macular holes. Methods A total of 78 patients with refractory macular hole who were treated in our hospital from January 2018 to December 2019 were selected and divided into a control group and an observation group according to the random number table method,39 patients in each group. The control group was treated with inner limiting membrane packing, and the observation group was treated with flip coverage. The closure of the hole, the treatment time of the inner limiting membrane, and the best-corrected visual acuity (BCVA) level before and after treatment were compared between the two groups. Results The puncture closure rate of the observation group was 92.31%,it was higher than that of the control group which was 74.36%,the internal limiting membrane treatment time was (617.27±60.57)s,it was longer than the control group which was (455.38±43.92)s,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Before the operation, the BCVA levels of the two groups were compared, and the differences were not statistically significant(P>0.05);the BCVA levels of the two groups were lower than those before the operation at 1 month and 3 months after the operation, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05);1 month and 3 months after operation, the BCVA levels of the two groups were not statistically different (P>0.05).Conclusion Flip coverage treatment can increase the hole closure rate of patients with refractory macular hole and effectively improve the patient′s BCVA level, which is worthy of clinical application.
