Abstract:Objective To investigate the application effect of health self-management in patients with diabetic foot. Methods The clinical data of 60 patients with diabetic foot admitted to Fuzhou First People′s Hospital from April 2013 to November 2019 were retrospectively analyzed.According to different intervention methods, they were divided into the control group and the observation group,30 cases in each group. The control group was given routine nursing, and the observation group was intervened by health self-management.The self-efficacy (diabetes self-efficacy scale[DSES]) and foot skin condition (including infection, chapping, dryness and injury) were compared between the two groups before and after intervention. Results After intervention, the scores of DSES in the two groups were higher than those before intervention, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The scores of DSES after intervention in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The incidence of adverse events of foot skin in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion Health self-management in patients with diabetic foot has significant effect,it can increase self-efficacy and reduce the incidence of adverse events of skin.
