Abstract:Objective To analyze the situation of human papilloma virus (HPV) infection in women in Xiamen area, and analyze the distribution of various subtypes and their relationship with different ages. Methods The flow cytometry was used to detect HPV gene in the cervical exfoliated cells of 9249 women in Clinic of Department of Gynecology of Xiamen Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from July 2018 to June 2019.The distribution of HPV genotype, single and multiple infection were analyzed, and the characteristics of HPV infection among different age groups were compared. Results A total of 1523 cases were positive for HPV in 9249 cases, the detection rate was 16.47%.The highest detection rate was 35.29% in the <20 age group, followed by 18.76% and 18.13% in the 20-<30 age group and 60-<70 age group, respectively. The top 7 subtypes of HPV infection were type 52,type 16,type 58,type 53,type 39,type 61 and type 81,which accounted for 71.24% of the total.HPV infection was mainly single infection, accounting for 75.38% of the total.Multiple infection was mainly double infection, accounting for 69.33% of the multiple infection. Conclusion The detection of HPV infection in high risk population by flow cytometry is not only rapid and accurate, but also can distinguish the subtypes of HPV infection. We should pay attention to the screening of HPV in women in Xiamen area, especially the screening of the four most common subtypes of HPV 52,16,58 and 53,which can effectively reduce the incidence of cervical cancer and other HPV related diseases.
