Abstract:Objective To explore the relationship between squamous cell carcinoma antigen (SCC),neuron-specific enolase (NSE),carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) levels and clinicopathological factors in patients with esophageal cancer. Methods A total of 82 patients with esophageal cancer admitted to Yizheng People′s Hospital from May 2017 to May 2020 were selected as the observation group, and 90 healthy people who received physical examination during the same period were selected as the control group. The serum SCC,NSE and CEA levels were compared between the two groups. The serum SCC,NSE and CEA levels in patients with esophageal cancer with different clinicopathological characteristics were investigated, the factors affecting the serum SCC,NSE and CEA levels were analyzed. Results Serum SCC,NSE and CEA levels in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).There were no significant differences in serum SCC,NSE and CEA levels in patients with esophageal cancer of different genders and ages (P>0.05).The patients with lymph node metastasis, high degree of differentiation, and TNM stages Ⅲand Ⅳhad higher serum SCC,NSE and CEA levels, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The levels of serum SCC,NSE and CEA were used as dependent variables, and lymph node metastasis, differentiation degree and TNM stage were used as independent variables for univariate linear regression analysis. The results showed that lymph node metastasis, degree of differentiation and TNM stage of tumor were the factors affecting the serum SCC,NSE and CEA levels in patients with esophageal cancer (P<0.05).Conclusion SCC,NSE and CEA expression levels are higher in patients with esophageal cancer.Lymph node metastasis, degree of differentiation, and tumor TNM stage are factors that affect the serum levels of SCC,NSE and CEA in patients with esophageal cancer.
