Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of Xiaochaihu Granules combined with highly active antiretroviral therapy (HAART) in the treatment of acquired immune deficiency syndrome. Methods A total of 80 cases of acquired immune deficiency syndrome patients treated in the Third People′s Hospital of Jiujiang City from June 2017 to October 2018 were selected as subjects. They were divided into treatment group and control group according to random number table method,40 cases in each group. The control group was treated with HAART,and the treatment group was treated with Xiaochaihu Granules on the basis of the control group. Both groups were treated continuously for 18 months. The immune function, clinical efficacy, success rate of immune reconstruction and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results After treatment, the number of CD4+ T lymphocytes in the treatment group was (390.28±21.27) cells/μL,and the CD4+/CD8+ in the treatment group was (0.62±0.05),which were higher than those in the control group of (335.26±35.19) cells /μL and (0.46±0.03),and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The CD8+ T lymphocytes in the treatment group was (620.57±34.52) cells/μL,which was lower than (750.27±26.64) cells/μL in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The total effective rate and the success rate of immune reconstruction in the treatment group were 90.00% and 82.50% respectively, which were higher than 70.00% and 60.00% of the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The rates of headache and vomiting were not significantly different between the two groups (P>0.05).The rates of nausea and marrow suppression in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion Xiaochaihu Granules combined with HAART in the treatment of acquired immune deficiency syndrome can enhance the therapeutic effect, improve the immune function, improve the success rate of immune reconstruction and reduce the incidence of adverse reactions.
