Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of negative pressure drainage and skin drainage on calcaneal fracture patients′ complications and incision healing. Methods The medical records of 46 patients who underwent calcaneal fracture surgery in Kunshan Second People′s Hospital from August 2014 to November 2019 were retrospectively analyzed.According to the different drainage methods, they were divided into negative pressure drainage group (22 cases) and skin drainage group(24 cases). The total drainage volume, drainage placement time, drying time, incision healing time and the incidence of complications were compared between the two groups. Results The total drainage volume of patients in the negative pressure drainage group was more than that in the skin drainage group, the drainage time was longer than that of the skin drainage group, the drying time and incision healing time were shorter than those of the skin drainage group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The total incidence of complications in the negative pressure drainage group was lower than that in the skin drainage group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Negative pressure drainage has thorough drainage, low complication rate, faster healing of patients′ incisions, and obvious advantages compared with skin drainage, which can be used clinically.
