Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of using traditional Chinese medicine Rhubarb Umbilical therapy to improve the symptoms of constipation in hospitalized patients.Methods A total of sixty-four hospitalized medical patients admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University from December 2017 to December 2018 were selected as subjects,and were divided into observation group and control group using the random number table method,with 32 cases in each group.The control group was given routine treatment,while the observation group adopted the standardized scheme of umbilical therapy established under the guidance of evidence-based principles.The Rhubarb powder was added to the control group based on honey.The umbilical therapy was adjusted into pills,and the effectiveness of Rhubarb Umbilical therapy for constipation treatment and the constipation score of the two groups of patients were observed.Results The constipation score of patients with constipation in the observation group after treatment was lower than that in the control group (P<0.01).The total effective rate of the patients in the observation group was higher than that in the control group,the differences were statistically significant (P<0.01).Conclusion The use of Rhubarb umbilical therapy can effectively improve the symptoms of constipation in hospitalized patients with internal medicine.It can provide safe and convenient treatment for patients with constipation during hospitalization,effectively reduce the incidence of constipation and improve the quality of life of patients.
