Abstract:Objective To investigate the application of brachial-cephalic arterio-venous fistula (BCAVF) in patients with chronic kidney disease. Methods A total of 46 patients with chronic kidney diseases who were treated in Jiujiang Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from January 2018 to December 2019 were selected and divided into the control group (n=23) and the observation group (n=23) according to the blind drawing method. In the control group, brachialbasilic arterio-venous fistula (BBAVF) was performed, and in the observation group,BCAVF was performed. The vascular hemodynamic changes in internal fistula,tumor-like expansion, anastomotic size and cephalic vein arch stenosis were compared in the two groups. Results After operation, the resistance index, internal diameter and blood flow of the brachial artery in the two groups were higher than those before operation, and the resistance index, internal diameter and blood flow of the brachial artery in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The large diameter of tumor-like expansion and anastomosis size and cephalic vein arch stenosis of the observation group were lower than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion For patients with chronic kidney diseases,BCAVF should be used with caution during hemodialysis, and the size of the anastomosis should be strictly controlled during the operation to reduce postoperative central venous complications.
