Abstract:Objective To explore the application effect of Xiyanping in children with acute respiratory tract infection. Methods From February 2020 to May 2021,96 children with acute respiratory infection admitted to the Department of Pediatrics of Tianshui Maternal and Child Health Hospital were selected as the research objects, and they were divided into the experimental group (n=48) and the control group (n=48) using the random number table method (n=48).The experimental group was treated with Xiyanping Injection, and the control group was treated with Clohexine Dry Suspension. The treatment effect, clinical symptoms, inflammatory indicators and incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups were compared. Results The total effective rate of treatment in children in the experimental group was higher than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The disappearance time of cough, fever, sore throat, nasal congestion, and pulmonary rales in the experimental group were shorter than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).After treatment, the levels of serum interleukin-6 (IL-6),interleukin-1β (IL-1β) and tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) were lower than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups. Conclusion Xiyanping Injection is effective in the treatment of children with acute respiratory tract infection and can quickly curb children′s cough and other clinical symptoms. The mechanism of action may be related to the reduction of inflammatory factors IL-6,IL-1β and TNF-α levels in children.
