Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of high uric acid on renal tubule-related indexes in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Methods A total of 100 patients with type 2 diabetes who met the criteria were hospitalized in Weifang Endocrine and Metabolic Disease Hospital from June 2019 to May 2021 were selected as the research subjects.According to the blood uric acid level, they were divided into high uric acid group (n=50) and normal uric acid group (n=50).Urine was kept and the urine concentrations of β2-microglobulin (β2-MG),retinol-binding protein (RBP),N-acetyl-β-D-glucosidase (NAG),uric acid and osmotic pressure (UOSM) level in the two groups were measured. Results Urine retention, urine β2-MG and RBP of patients in the high uric acid group were higher than those in the normal uric acid group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.01).Urine NAG and uric acid in high uric acid group were higher than those in normal uric acid group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).There was no significant difference in urinary UOSM level between the two groups (P>0.05).Conclusions High uric acid has different degrees of damage to the proximal tubule in type 2 diabetes patients, especially the reabsorption function of the proximal tubule is obviously damaged, but the concentration and dilution function of the distal renal tubule is not affected.
