Abstract: Objective To evaluate the effect of noninvasive ventilator in the treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) with sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome (SAHS).Methods A total of 70 patients with COPD and SAHS admitted to our hospital from October 2014 to October 2019 were selected as the research objects. They were divided into observation group (n=35) and control group (n=35) according to method of drawing lots for random grouping. The observation group was treated with non-invasive ventilator, while the control group was treated with conventional therapy. The values of percutaneous oxygenation (SaO2),bicarbonate (HCO3-),pH,partial pressure of carbon dioxide (PCO2)oxygen partial pressure (PO2),forced expiratory volume in first second (FEV1)/forced vital capacity (FVC),ratio of FEV1 to predicted value and therapeutic effect were compared between the two groups. Results There were statistically significant differences in the observation group before and after treatment in SaO2,blood HCO3-,PCO2,and PO2 (P<0.05);there was no significant difference in pH before and after treatment (P>0.05);there was significant difference in SaO2 before and after treatment in the control group (P<0.05),there were significant differences after treatment in blood HCO3-,pH,PCO2,and PO2 compared with before treatment (P<0.05).Patients in the observation group after treatment,SaO2,blood HCO3-,pH,PCO2,and PO2 were better than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The comparison of FEV1/FVC,FEV1% before treatment between the two groups was not statistically significant (P>0.05);in the observation group after treatment, the predicted values of FEV1/FVC and FEV1% were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The peak inspiratory pressure and tidal volume in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The total effective rate in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion The non-invasive ventilator therapy for COPD with SAHS can significantly improve the arterial blood gas, pulmonary function and mechanical ventilation parameters of the patients, which has good application effect and promising development.
