Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of positive psychological intervention based on PERMA model in patients with advanced cervical cancer. Methods A total of 64 patients with advanced cervical cancer treated in Jiujiang Third People′s Hospital from February 2020 to February 2022 were selected as research objects, they were divided into control group and observation group according to random number table method, with 32 cases in each group. The control group received routine nursing, while the observation group received positive psychological intervention based on PERMA model on the basis of the control group. Both groups received continuous nursing for 4 weeks. Post traumatic stress disorder, subjective well-being, quality of life and nursing satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results After the intervention, the scores of repeated traumatic experience symptoms, emotional numbness and avoidance symptoms and irritable symptoms caused by excessive alertness in the PTSD checklist-civilian version (PCL-C) in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). After the intervention, the scores of general well-being scale (GWB) and quality of life questionnare-core 30 (QLQ-C30) in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The nursing satisfaction in observation group was 93.75%, which was higher than 75.00% in the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion Positive psychological intervention based on PERMA model can reduce post-traumatic stress disorder in patients with advanced cervical cancer, enhance patients′ subjective well-being, promote the improvement of quality of life, and improve nursing satisfaction.
