Abstract:Objective To explore the application effect of pediatric massage therapy in pediatric bronchial pneumonia. Methods A total of 200 children with bronchial pneumonia and their parents who were hospitalized in the Department of Pediatrics of Dongguan Kanghua Hospital from January 2019 to August 2021 were selected as the research objects, they were divided into the control group (100 cases) and the observation group (100 cases) according to the random number table method. Both groups were treated with conventional symptomatic supportive treatment and nursing. The observation group was given massage treatment under cover according to the massage plan, and the control group was given comfort treatment under cover. The cough symptom scores before and after the intervention and hospital stay, total hospitalization expenses, frequency of use of nebulized drugs, number of children who were re-infected and sought medical attention within one month of discharge, and the satisfaction of the parents of the two groups were compared. Results After the intervention, the score of cough symptoms in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The hospital stay in the observation group was shorter than that of the control group, and the total hospitalization expenses, frequency of use of nebulized drugs, and number of children who were re-infected and sought medical attention within one month of discharge in the observation group were all less than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The satisfaction score of parents in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion Pediatric massage can play a good auxiliary role in the treatment of bronchial pneumonia in children, help improve the clinical symptoms of children, shorten the treatment time of the disease, and reduce the risk of reinfection in children. It is worthy of further research and promotion.
