Abstract:Objective To explore the related factors of drug compliance in rehospitalized patients with schizophrenia. Methods A total of 180 cases of hospitalized patients with schizophrenia′s age, gender, duration, marriage, employment, cultural degree, family history, living environment, the types of drugs, self-knowledge, severe mental illness risk grading, medication, economic situation, disability identification information free of charge from May 2016 to May 2018 in Huairou Anjia Hospital, Beijing were retrospective analysed. The Morisky adherence questionnaire (MAQ-8) was applied, and the adherence score<6 was divided into the poor adherence group (112 cases), score of 6-8 points was divided into the adherence group (68 cases). Logistic regression analysis were used to explore the related factors of drug compliance in rehospitalized patients with schizophrenia. Results The single factor analysis showed that employment status, living environment, drug type, self-awareness and risk of severe mental illness were the influencing factors of poor compliance of re-hospitalized patients the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Logistic regression analysis showed that lack of self-awareness (β=1.338, OR=3.811, 95%CI=2.362-6.148), risk rating of severe mental illness grade≥2 (β=1.213, OR=3.363, 95%CI=1.558-7.262) were independent risk factors for medication compliance of rehospitalized schizophrenia patients (P<0.05). Conclusion The worse the self-awareness of patients with schizophrenia is, the worse the compliance is. The higher the risk assessment grade of severe mental illness is, the worse the compliance is. Therefore, clinical medical staff should pay attention to the self-awareness of patients and timely assess the risk grade of severe mental illness, which will help to improve the treatment compliance of patients.
