Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of Compound Ipratropium Bromide combined with Budesonide atomization inhalation on blood gas indexes in elderly patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Methods A total of 80 COPD elderly patients admitted to Xuzhou First People′s Hospital from January 2019 to January 2021 were selected as the study subjects, and were divided into study group (40 cases) and control group (40 cases) by random number table method. The study group received Compound Ipratropium Bromide combined with Budesonide, and the control group received Budesonide, the treatment course was 7 d. The difference in dynamic venous oxygen content (Ca-jvO2),oxygenation index (PaO2/FiO2), 6-minute walking test (6MWT), oxygen saturation (SaO2), BODE index score and the occurrence of adverse reactions were compared between two groups before and after treatment. Results Before treatment, there was no significant difference in SaO2,Ca-jvO2 and PaO2/FiO2 levels between the two groups(P>0.05).After treatment, the levels of SaO2 and PaO2/FiO2 in the study group were higher than those in the control group, while the levels of CajvO2 were lower than those in the control group, with statistical significances(P<0.05).There were no significant differences in 6MWT and BODE index between the two groups before treatment (P>0.05). After treatment, the 6MWT of the study group was higher than that of the control group, and the BODE index was lower than that of the control group, with statistical significances (P<0.05). No serious adverse reactions occurred in two groups during treatment, and there was no statistical significance in the total incidence of adverse reactions between two groups (P>0.05). Conclusion Compound Ipratropium Bromide combined with Budesonide atomization inhalation can effectively improve the blood gas indexes and exercise endurance of elderly patients with COPD.
