Objective To explore the application value of 360° health education in the perioperative period of elderly patients with cataract. Methods A total of 88 patients undergoing senile cataract surgery admitted to Qianjiang Central Hospital from June 2020 to October 2020 were selected as the subjects, and they were divided into the conventional group (44 cases) and the study group (44 cases) using a random number table method. The conventional group used general perioperative nusing, and the study group was given 360° health education on the basis of the conventional group. The time from admission to discharge, the grasp degree of health education knowledge, the degree of nursing satisfaction and postoperative visual acuity recovery were compared between the two groups. Results The time from admission to discharge in the study group was shorter than that in the conventional group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The grasp degree of knowledge of cataract health education in the study group was higher than that in the conventional group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The total satisfaction of nursing in the study group was higher than that of the conventional group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The postoperative visual acuity recovery of patients in the study group was better than that of the conventional group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion The use of 360° health education in the perioperative period of elderly patients with cataract can effectively improve the grasp of health knowledge of elderly patients and nursing satisfaction, and have better postoperative vision recovery, which is worthy of promotion.
