Abstract:Objective To explore the application effect of posture cushion in lateral decubitus placement in urological surgery. Methods A retrospective study of 60 urological surgery patients admitted to our hospital from July 2018 to December 2019 was selected. According to the different treatment methods, they were divided into control group (30 cases, placed in the traditional lateral position) and experimental group (30 cases, placed in the lateral position with a posture cushion). The comfort scores, skin compression and total incidence of complications were compared between the two groups. Results After intervention, the comfort score of the experimental group was higher than that in the control group; the incidence of skin compression in the experimental group was lower than that in the control group; the total incidence of complications in the experimental group was lower than that in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P <0.05). Conclusion The application of posture cushion in the lateral position of urological surgery is beneficial to improve the comfort of patient, significantly improve the pressure on the skin, and reduce the occurrence of complications.
