Objective To explore the feasibility of the application of standardized patient-based psychiatric nursing micro-lectures in nursing student internships. Methods A total of 108 undergraduate nursing students from Fujian Medical University, Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Xiamen Medical College who were practicing in the Department of Psychiatry, Xiamen Xianyue Hospital from October 2020 to May 2021 were selected as the research subjects. And they were divided into experimental group and control group by random number table method, with 54 students in each group. The control group adopted the traditional clinical practice teaching method, and the experimental group adopted the standardized patient-based psychiatric nursing micro class teaching method on the basis of the traditional clinical practice teaching method. The results of theory test, operation test and teaching satisfaction were compared between the two groups at the end of clinical practice. Results At the end of clinical practice, the theoretical test scores and operation test scores of the experimental group were higher than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The scores of teaching satisfaction in experimental group were higher than those in control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusions Standardized patient-based psychiatric nursing micro class teaching method can effectively improve the quality of nursing teaching and nursing students' satisfaction with the overall teaching process of clinical nursing practice.
