Objective To explore a convenient and efficient cleaning and disinfection method for Da Vinci robotic surgical arm. Methods A total of 100 Da Vinci robotic surgical arms recovered from the operation room of Jiangxi Provincial People's Hospital from December 2020 to September 2021 were selected and divided into experimental group and control group according to different operation procedures, with 50 Da Vinci robotic surgical arms in each group. In the experimental group, the operating end of the surgical arm was cleaned by running water washing+laparoscopic enzyme immersion+ultrasonic cleaning machine+steam cleaning machine+pure water rinsing with high-pressure water gun +75% alcohol disinfection+drying cabinet. The cleaning and disinfection process of the control group was as follows:flowing water washing+laparoscopic enzyme immersion+ultrasonic cleaning machine ultrasound+scrub operating end of surgical arm+high-pressure water gun rinse with pure water +75% alcohol disinfection+drying cabinet; Visual inspection method and ATP bioluminescence rapid detection method were used to detect the qualified rate of cleaning and disinfection, and the cleaning and disinfection effect and average cleaning operation time of the two groups were compared.Results The qualified rate of cleaning and disinfection in the experimental group was higher than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The qualified rate of cleaning and disinfection in the experimental group using ATP bioluminescence rapid detection was higher than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The average cleaning and disinfection time of the experimental group was shorter than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The effect of cleaning and disinfecting Da Vinci robotic surgical arm by steam cleaning machine is more ideal than that by manual cleaning and disinfecting, which effectively saves rare medical resources and a lot of cleaning and disinfecting time.
