Objective To investigate the application effect of continuous penetrating suture of nasal septum in patients with sinusitis and nasal polyp with nasal septum deviation. Methods A total of 90 patients with chronic sinusitis and nasal polyps accompanied by nasal septum deviation admitted to Shangrao People's Hospital from January to June 2021 were selected as the research subjects, and they were divided into the observation group (45 cases) and the control group (45 cases) according to the random number table method. The control group was treated with nasal packing after functional nasal endoscopy and nasal septum correction, and the observation group was treated with continuous penetrating suture of nasal septum after functional nasal endoscopy and nasal septum correction. The clinical symptom scores and complications were compared between the two groups. Results The scores of headache, nasal pain, toothache and lacrimal discharge in the two groups after operation were lower than those before operation, the scores of headache,nasal pain, toothache and tears in the observation group after operation were lower than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P＜0.05). The total incidence rate of complication of the observation group was lower than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P＜0.05). Conclusion Patients with sinusitis and nasal polyps accompanied by nasal septum deviation are treated with continuous penetrating suture of nasal septum, which can improve postoperative headache, nasal pain, toothache, lacrimal discharge and other problems,and reduce complications.
