Abstract:Objective To explore the application effect of pelvic floor muscle training in elderly parturients. Methods A total of 58 cases of elderly parturitions in Jingzhou Second People′s Hospital from August 2018 to August 2020 were selected as the research objects. They were divided into observation group and control group by random number table method, with 29 cases in each group. The observation group received pelvic floor muscle training after delivery, while the control group only received routine nursing after delivery. The pelvic floor muscle strength, total recovery rate and sexual life quality were compared between the two groups. Results The pelvic floor muscle strength of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The total effective rate of 89.66% in the observation group was higher than 65.52% in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). After intervention, the scores of sexual desire, sexual arousal, orgasm, sexual satisfaction and pain during intercourse in the observation group were higher than those before intervention, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). There was no statistically significant difference in the score of vaginal lubrication in the observation group before and after intervention (P>0.05). In the control group, there were no significant differences in sexual desire, sexual arousal, vaginal lubrication, orgasm, satisfaction rate of sexual life and pain score before and after intervention (P>0.05). After intervention, the scores of sexual desire, sexual arousal, sexual satisfaction and pain during intercourse in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). There were no statistically significant differences in vaginal lubrication and orgasm between the two groups (P>0.05). Conclusion Pelvic floor muscle training can promote the recovery of pelvic floor function of elderly parturient women, improve the quality of postpartum sexual life, improve the quality of nursing, protect the health of elderly parturient women, and has high application value.
