Abstract:Objective To investigate the diagnostic effect and value of Candida mannan (Mn) antigen and IgG antibody in patients with invasive candidiasis. Methods A total of 113 patients with suspected invasive Candidiasis in Wuming Hospital of Guangxi Medical University from January 2018 to April 2021 were selected as subjects. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay was used to determine Candida specific IgG antibody and Mn antigen in patients, and the ROC curve was drawn based on the results of sterile body fluid culture or histopathological examination as the gold standard to analyze the diagnostic efficacy of Candida specific IgG antibody, Mn antigen and combined detection for invasive Candida. Results 105 of 113 suspected invasive Candidiasis patients were confirmed by gold standard, with a diagnosis rate of 92.92%. 89 cases were diagnosed with Mn antigen, and the coincidence rate with gold standard diagnosis was 78.76%. 96 cases were confirmed by IgG antibody, and the diagnostic coincidence rate was 83.19%. 102 cases were confirmed by combined detection, and the diagnostic coincidence rate was 93.81%. ROC curve results showed that the sensitivity and specificity of combined detection of Mn antigen and IgG antibody were 95.24% and 75.00%, respectively, and AUC was 0.894. Conclusion Candida IgG antibody can be used in patients with invasive candidiasis to obtain a higher diagnostic coincidence rate. Combined with Mn antigen detection can help improve the diagnostic efficiency and guide clinical diagnosis and treatment.
