Application study of standardized communication model based on situation-background-assessment-recommendation in hydraulic enema reduction of children with intussusception

Abstract：Objective To study the application effect of standardized communication model based on situation-background-assessment-recommendation (SBAP) in hydraulic enema reduction of children with intussusception. Methods A total of 72 children who underwent hydraulic enema reduction in Ganzhou Maternal and Child Health Hospital from June 2019 to June 2021 were selected, they were divided into the control group and the observation group according to random number table method, with 36 cases in each group. The control group received conventional communication model, and the observation group received standardized communication model based on SBAP. The treatment conditions(the success rate of first reduction, the 24 h recurrence rate, operation time, anal exhaust time and length of hospital stay), the incidence rates of complications (intestinal perforation, diarrhea, vomiting and fever) and nursing quality were compared between the two groups. Results The success rate of first reduction in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P＜0.05). The 24 h recurrence rate, the incidence of complications in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, operation time, anal exhaust time, and length of hospital stay in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P＜0.05). The nursing quality score of the observation group was higher than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).Conclusion Standardized communication model based on SBAP can improve the therapeutic effect of hydrostatic enema reduction on children with intussusception,and reduce the incidence rates of complications and recurrence rate, It is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
