Abstract:Objective To explore the application effect of integrated traditional Chinese and Western me dicine nursing in patients with esophageal cancer. Methods Fifty-six patients with esophageal cancer admitted to our hospital from January to December 2018 were selected and divided into two groups according to random number table method, 28 cases in each group. The control group was given routine nursing, and the study group was given integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine nursing. Both groups were intervened for 3 months. The scores of self-rating anxiety scale (SAS), self-rating depression scale(SDS), Pittsburgh sleep quality index scale (PSQI) and supplementary pattern table of esophageal cancer (QLQ-OES18) were compared between the two groups. Results There were no significant differences in SAS, SDS scores, PSQI and QLQ-OES18 scores between the two groups before intervention (P>0.05);SAS, SDS scores, PSQI and QLQ-OES18 scores after intervention in the two groups were lower than those before intervention, with statistical differences; SAS, SDS, PSQI and QLQ-OES18 scores after intervention in the study group were lower than those of the control group, with statistical differences (P<0.05). Conclusion Nursing with integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine for patients with esophageal cancer can effectively improve their mental state,sleep quality and quality of life.
