Abstract:Objective To explore the application of the knowledge, attitude/belief, practice (KAP) model in the management of chronic diseases in patients with rheumatoid arthritis. Methods A total of Sixty-two patients with rheumatoid arthritis admitted to our hospital from January to March 2019 were selected as the research subjects. They were divided into control group (n=31) and observation group (n=31) according to random number table method. In the control group, chronic rheumatic disease management model was used, and in the observation group, chronic rheumatic disease management model+KAP model were used. The disease knowledge awareness, attitude level, disease management behavior level and nursing total satisfaction of the two groups were compared. Results After intervention, the disease knowledge awareness, positive attitude, and disease management behavior scores in the rheumatoid arthritis patients after intervention through KAP questionnaire in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). In the observation group, the nursing total satisfaction was higher than that of the control group, with statistical difference (P<0.05). Conclusion The KAP model can effectively improve the awareness of disease knowledge, positive attitude, disease management behavior level and nursing satisfaction of patients with rheumatoid arthritis, and the clinical application effect is good.
