Abstract:Objective To evaluate and analyze the diagnostic value of GeneXpert Mycobacterium tuberculosis/Rifampin(GeneXpert MTB/RIF) technology and acid-fast staining in the diagnosis of tuberculosis.Methods A total of 80 patients with suspected tuberculosis admitted to the Sino-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City Hospital from October 2019 to October 2021 were selected as the research objects.GeneXpert MTB/RIF technology,acid-fast staining were used for detection,and clinical pathological diagnosis was the gold standard.Compare the positive rate and diagnostic efficiency of the two methods.Results A total of 42 cases of 80 suspected tuberculosis patients were diagnosed by clinical pathology.The positive rate of GeneXpert MTB/RIFF technology was higher than that of acid-fast staining.The diagnostic sensitivity,specificity,and accuracy of GeneXpert MTB/RIF technology are 90.48%,100.00% and 95.00%,respectively.The diagnostic sensitivity,specificity,and accuracy of acid-fast staining are 33.33%,100.00% and 65.00%,respectively.The diagnostic sensitivity and accuracy of GeneXpert MTB/RIF technology were higher than those of acid-fast staining,and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion The application of GeneXpert MTB/RIF technology in the diagnosis of tuberculosis has significant diagnostic value,greatly improving the sensitivity and specificity of the detection of Mycobacterium tuberculosis and Rifampicin resistance,and providing an effective reference for the development of clinical disease diagnosis and treatment activities.
