Abstract:Objective To explore the influence of cognitive behavior intervention on the mental health and quality of life of patients after permanent pacemaker implantation. Methods A total of 97 patients with permanent pacemaker implantation who were treated in our hospital from February 2014 to June 2018 were selected as the research subjects. They were randomly divided into the experimental group (49 cases) and the control group (48 cases) according to the lottery method. The control group used conventional health education method, and the experimental group used cognitive behavioral intervention method. The international standard anxiety scale (SAS) scores, self-anxiety scale (SDS)scores and the total scores of quality of life scale (SF-36) were compared between the two groups. Results There was no significant difference in the SAS scores between the two groups before surgery (P>0.05). The SAS scores at 1, 3, 6 months after surgery in the experimental group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in the SDS scores between the two groups before surgery (P>0.05). The SDS scores at 1, 3, 6 months after surgery in the experimental group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in the total score of SF-36 between the two groups before surgery (P<0.05). The total scores of SF-36 at 1,3, 6 months after surgery in the experimental group were higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). The SDS scores and SAS scores of the two groups at 1, 3, 6 months after surgery were lower than those before surgery, and the total SF-36 scores of the two groups at 1, 3, 6 months after surgery were higher than those before surgery (P<0.05).Conclusion Cognitive-behavioral intervention can significantly improve the mental health and quality of life of patients after pacemaker implantation, and is worthy of clinical promotion.
