Abstract:Objective To explore the clinical effect of electromyography biofeedback combined with electroacupuncture and acupoint injection in the treatment of traumatic ulnar nerve injury. Methods A retrospective analysis of 52 patients with traumatic ulnar nerve injury admitted to our department from January 2016 to August 2019 was made. They were divided into observation group and control group according to different treatment methods, with 26 cases in each group. The control group was treated with Mecobalamin Tablets orally, neuromuscular electrical stimulation, exercise therapy, electroacupuncture and acupoint injection alternately, the observation group was treated with electromyography biofeedback on this basis. After 3 course (60 days) of treatment, the shape of the hands, total active movement (TAM), and sensory recovery of patients were compared in the two groups and electrophysiological indicators such as nerve conduction velocity and wave amplitude of the affected ulnar nerve were measured. Results After treatment, the excellent and good rate in the observation group (84.62%) was higher than that in the control group (57.69%), the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Before treatment, there were no significant differences in nerve conduction velocity and wave amplitude of patients between the two groups (P>0.05); after treatment, the nerve conduction velocity and wave amplitude of patients of the two groups were higher than those before treatment, and the nerve conduction velocity and wave amplitude of the observation group after treatment were higher than those of the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion Electromyography biofeedback combined with electroacupuncture and acupoint injection in the treatment of traumatic ulnar nerve injury has a good synergistic effect, which can promote the recovery of morphology and function after traumatic ulnar nerve injury.
