Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of optimizing the process of emergency gastroscopy on the treatment of gastrointestinal bleeding. Methods A total of 50 patients with acute gastrointestinal bleeding treated in the First Affiliated Hospital of Fujian Medical University from January to December 2019 were selected as the control group, and 50 patients with acute gastrointestinal bleeding treated in the same hospital from January to December 2020 were selected as the observation group. Patients in the control group were examined and treated with routine emergency gastroscopy, and patients in the observation group were examined and treated with optimized emergency gastroscopy. The success rate of hemostasis, the time spent in each link of the diagnosis and treatment process and the satisfaction of patients′ families were compared between the two groups. Results The success rate of hemostasis in the observation group (98.00%) was higher than that in the control group (84.00%), and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The reception time, admission to gastroscopy, hemostasis time and hospitalization time in the diagnosis and treatment process in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The total satisfaction of patients in the observation group (96.00%) was higher than that in the control group(80.00), the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion Optimization of emergency gastroscopy procedure is beneficial to improve the treatment effect of gastrointestinal bleeding patients, shorten the diagnosis and treatment time effectively, and improve patient satisfaction.
