Abstract:Objective To investigate the relationship between fragmented QRS complex (fQRS) and cardiac function in patients with myocardial infarction. Methods A total of 63 inpatients with acute myocardial infarction in Wuxi Huishan District People′s Hospital from January 2017 to January 2020 were selected as the research objects. Electrocardiography (ECG) screening was performed. According to the ECG results, they were divided into the observation group (with fQRS, 28 cases) and the control group (non fQRS, 35 cases). Cardiac function test related data were compared between the two groups, and the relationship between the presence or absence of fQRS and cardiac function of patients with myocardial infarction was analyzed, and the effect of the presence of fQRS on left ventricular systolic function of patients was assessed. Results The left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) values in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The observation group had a higher proportion of people with depressed cardiac function than the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). The proportion of moderate to severe cardiac dysfunction in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion The appearance of fQRS on ECG is closely related to cardiac dysfunction in patients with myocardial infarction, fQRS has a direct effect on left ventricular systolic function, and patients with acute myocardial infarction presenting with fQRS will have more likely to have moderate to severe left ventricular systolic function, which can be clinically used as an element for evaluating the longterm prognosis of patients.
