Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical effect of targeted drug Apatinib assisted three-dimensional conformal intensity-modulated radiotherapy in the treatment of elderly patients with non-small cell lung cancer. Methods A total of 80 cases of elderly patients with non-small cell lung cancer who were treated in Yancheng Second People′s Hospital from January 2017 to December 2019 were selected as the subjects, and they were divided into the observation group and the control group using the random number table method,40 cases in each group. The control group was given three-dimensional conformal intensity-modulated radiotherapy, the observation group was given Apatinib on the basis of the control group, the total clinical effective rate, serum carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) levels before and after treatment and incidence of adverse reactions of the two groups were compared. Results One month after the end of the treatment, the total clinical effective rate of the observation group was 62.5%,which was higher than that of the control group (45.0%),the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).After treatment, compared with before treatment, the serum CEA and VEGF levels of the two groups decreased, and the serum CEA and VEGF levels of the observation group were lower than those of the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The main adverse reactions of the two groups were hypertension, hemorrhage, gastrointestinal reaction, hemoglobin reduction, leucopenia and liver and kidney dysfunction. The total incidence rate of adverse reactions in the observation group was 17.5%,which was lower than that in the control group (37.5%),the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion The effect of Apatinib in the combination with three-dimensional conformal intensity-modulated radiotherapy in the treatment of elderly patients with non-small cell lung cancer is definite, the serum CEA and VEGF levels are significantly improved, the adverse reactions are few,and the therapeutic effect is significant, which is worthy of clinical application.
