Abstract:Objective To explore the clinical effect of acupoint application combined with modified Xiaoyao Powder in the treatment of premenstrual syndrome(PMS).Methods A total of 60 patients with PMS identified as liver qi stagnation who were admitted to Xinyu Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from November 2019 to November 2021 were selected as the research subjects.They were divided into single group and combined group by drawing lots,with 30 cases in each group.Single group was treated with Xiaoyao Powder addition and subtraction,and combined group was treated with Xiaoyao Powder addition and subtraction combined with acupoint application.The traditional Chinese medicine symptom score,treatment effect and Hamilton anxiety scale(HAMA)score of the two groups were compared.Results After treatment,the traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores of the two groups were lower than those before treatment,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,the traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score of the combined group was lower than that of the single group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The total effective rate of combined group was higher than that of single group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,HAMA scores in the two groups were lower than those before treatment,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,HAMA score of the combined group was lower than that of the single group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Acupoint application combined with modified Xiaoyao Powder can significantly improve PMS-related symptoms and improve the anxiety of patients.
